Back Cover

Being a caseworker in a halfway house for federal and state pre-parolees, Corey Kendal figured he'd seen the best of scams from the con artist elite. Then he went to work in corporate America. Corporate managers weren't inconvenienced with law enforcement desk-checking their work. Going into the game, Corey had the finesse of a flamethrower in a gasoline refinery but thought bottom line results would make up for his lack of respect for managerial scams. That was until the machine chewed him up and spit him out the door of his final Seattle based business charade. Taking inventory of his professional demise, Corey determined that his irrational compulsion to do the right thing was the biggest barrier to his success. He does away with the barrier and starts playing to win in a new business venture catering to corporate paranoia. His new client, CEO hopeful, Tom Heilmann, is willing to pay large for some underhanded, undercover work that will take him to the top of the executive echelon. Corey and a team of corporate cubicle fugitives put the wheels in motion but get hit with a face full of bad wind blowing in from an unlikely direction. What starts out as plain ugly inner-corporate espionage takes a twisted turn on a deadly road into Corey's past. Corey's next performance review may be coming from the muzzle of a .45 semi-auto.
